Rachit Singh is a straight A student taking additional classes at WSU

PULLMAN, WA - KLEW cares about you and that's why each week during the school year, we team up with Lewiston Orthopaedic Associates to highlight an outstanding local high school student.

KLEW News introduces you to Pullman High School Senior Rachit Singh.

Pullman High School Senior Rachit Singh is a straight-A student. Rachit said one of his favorite subjects is French, but he also enjoys math.

"Math problems are kind of interesting sometimes," said Singh. "It's not just adding and subtracting anymore."

Rachit doesn't spend too much time here at Pullman High because about half of his classes are at Washington State University.

"There's some really cool stuff that they're doing up on campus, and I wanted to take some classes," said Singh.

When Rachit isn't doing school work, he stays busy with a long list of extracurricular activities.

"I play soccer in the fall with the club team here, and in the spring I'm going to play with the school team," said Singh. "I play ping pong, I'm part of science bowl and math team."

Rachit said he's looking forward to graduating and going to college to study computer science, even though he hasn't chosen a school just yet.

"I got accepted to Harvard last Friday, and then I'm applying to MIT and Stanford in the spring," said Singh. "So we'll see."

Congratulations, Rachit, you're this week's Academic All-Star.
