When he's not playing sports, Zac is studying

CLARKSTON, WA - He's a four-year letterman and has a 3.6 grade point average. His name is Zac Dwyer a senior at Clarkston high and he's this week's Academic All Star.

"To have good grades you have to work hard, and when you work hard it pays off in the long run," said Zac.

When he's not playing sports, Zac is studying. He said much of his motivation comes from his competitive drive to be the best.

"It's something that I want to do for myself," said Zac. "I want to succeed later in life."

Zac's a member of the National Honor Society and is in three advanced placement classes. So how does this talented young man find the time to do it all?

"After school you have practice and then after practice get my homework done," said Zac. "Like my parents always say, work before play."

Zac has plans to attend South Dakota School of Mines and Technology where he'll study mechanical engineering. Congratulations Zac, you're this week's Academic All Star.
