MOSCOW, ID —
KLEW cares about you, that’s why each week during the school year, we highlight an outstanding high school student whose achievements makes them stand out from the rest.
KLEW News Reporter Alex Crescenti has this week’s “Academic All-Star.”
Meet Makena Rauch a sophomore from Moscow High School. While she still has years to go before graduation, Makena maintains a 4.0 GPA and already has goals for her future. But she said it would still be awesome to have the title of valedictorian for her class.
“I would like to get a golf scholarship to go somewhere for college,” said Rauch. “I'm not really sure where I want to go probably out of state.”
Besides golf, Makena is heavily involved in other activities like basketball, soccer, Human Rights International, The Environment Club, and the president of the Spanish Club. In the classroom her favorite subject is math.
“Just because...it's a lot of solid answers,” said Rauch. “There's not kind of a general answer, it's right to the point and I like that about it.”
She says she enjoys coming to school every day in big part to the teachers who make it a really fun experience.
“Moscow High School is a great place to go to school and the atmosphere here is just so much fun and it feels like your part of a big family,” said Rauch.
Congratulations Makena Rauch, you’re this week’s “Academic All-Star.”
