“Academic All-Star” Natalie Wilson loves poetry, creative writing and cheerleading
LEWISTON, ID —
KLEW cares about you and that’s why every week throughout the school year we feature an outstanding high school senior in the area.
This week’s Academic All-Star comes to us from Lewiston High School.
This Lewiston High School Bengal has major school spirit.
"Friday Night Lights are one of my favorite things,” said Wilson. “I love cheering on my teams, I love being a part in leading students."
17-year-old Natalie doesn’t only lead students in cheer, she’s also a member of the student council and National Honor Society, and she’s also the president of the Spanish Club.
"yo tengo el ojo de tigre y fuego y bailo sobre el miedo," said Wilson.
Natalie is an honor roll student and loves poetry and creative writing. She says poetry has helped her get through some of the most difficult times in her life.
"There’s a poem that always sticks out to me… If you can't see anything beautiful about yourself, get a better mirror, look a little stronger, stare a little longer because there is something inside you that made you keep going despite everyone who told you to quite," said Wilson.
Natalie doesn’t plan to quite cheerleading anytime soon. After high school she plans on getting her master’s degree, her dream is to become a social worker.
Congratulations Natalie Wilson! You’re this week’s “Academic All-Star.”
