Asotin High ASB President Braden Jagannath named “Academic-All Star”
ASOTIN, WA —
KLEW News cares about you, and that’s why every week we feature a student who is going above and beyond.
This week’s Academic All-Star is Asotin High School senior Braden Jagannath.
KLEW News Reporter Kaila Lafferty has his story.
Braden Jagannath finds inspiration in leadership.
"Currently I'm the ASB President at Asotin High School," said Jagannath.
He also uses his leadership skills on the field. Braden plays tight end for the Asotin Panther Football team.
"It's really a mental thing, like um. having the confidence to go out there and do the best you can is something that motivates me, it's playing with your heart instead of being the biggest or strongest guy," said Jagannath.
In addition to football, Braden also plays basketball and baseball. On top of that he’s part of the National Honor Society and FBLA. But there’s one thing in his life that pushes him towards success.
"My faith kinda plays into that," said Jagannath.
He devotes time to youth in his church as well.
"Usually every Sunday I'm in something called Up Street, which is K through 5th,” said Jagannath, “It's just like a Sunday school. We try to make it fun we try to make it exciting. That's another part where leadership has helped me, like being a leader for them also helps being a leader here."
Congratulations Braden! You’re this week’s “Academic All-Star.”
