Lauren Zuba is combining college athletics, nursing degree program
MOSCOW, ID —
KLEW cares about you and that’s why every Thursday during the academic school year we profile a high school senior who shines in and out of the classroom.
Moscow High School senior Lauren Zuba has been chasing her goals and scoring them since she was four-years old and it’s all paid off.
"So I committed to play soccer for outside back at NNU so that was really awesome."
She’s combining college athletics with a challenging degree program.
"I'm going to school at Northwest Nazarene University and I'm pursuing a nursing degree."
Although Lauren decided on nursing about a year ago, she’s already getting a head start.
"This year I'm taking a CNA class which is a certified nursing assistant and it's through LCSC and hopefully at the end of this year I'll become certified as a nursing assistant and be able to like work with it,” explained Lauren.
In addition to taking a class, she also has hands-on experience.
"I've been volunteering there for two years at Gritman through the JV Program,” she said.
Her goal...to complete graduate school and become a nurse practitioner.
Congratulations Lauren you’re this week’s Academic All-Star.
