Thespian Syvanna Hart stays focused
LEWISTON, ID —
KLEW cares about you and that’s why every Thursday we like to feature a local high school senior who shines in and out of the classroom. Syvanna Hart is this week’s Academic All-Star from Lewiston High School.
Lewiston High School senior Syvanna Hart is already ready to take her academic talents to the next level. “I’m headed up to the U of I for I’m not sure what yet. I haven’t decided, but I’m excited to go up there,” she said.
She’s narrowed down some of her options, but she’s still considering many different fields of study.
“I know I want to travel, so I look at everything involving that, so I’ve actually thought about becoming a professor because I love all my teachers over at LCSC, and they get an opportunity to leave for the summer and travel a bit,” said Hart.
In school Syvanna has a 3.5 GPA, works after school, and is already getting college classes out of the way at LCSC. She’s also in clubs at LHS. “Right now I’m really into theatre. I’m assistant directing the musical that we’re doing right now, Drowsy Chaperone.”
But despite a heavy workload, Syvanna keeps sane using theatre techniques. “I always do breathing. That’s what I do for theatre, because you’re always stressed, you’re about to go on stage, and I just breathe and just focus on what I’m doing right in that moment. Set a list.”
Congratulations Syvanna. You’re this week’s Academic All-Star.
