It doesn't start until Tuesday, but the campus was filled with eager students Friday for the New Student Orientation. Orientation is a way for officials to provide students with federally required information and also a way for students to become familiar with all L-C has to offer.
"This is a wonderful way for them to meet other incoming students," said New Student Recruitment Director, Soo Lee Bruce Smith. "They meet with faculty in the divisions that their majors are housed under. They get a campus tour so right before classes start they have a real good idea of what to expect and where their going for that first day of school."
150 students showed up for the program, which leaders said is average for spring semester.
