4-H members showcase their hard work at the Asotin Co. Fair

ASOTIN, WA - The Asotin County Fair kicks off Friday and excited students, volunteers and fair board members are all getting the fair grounds ready for the big weekend.

Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA Adviser Glen Landrus said that Friday, the animals are being judged on their market value and how they stack up based on industry trends. Then on Saturday, the livestock and other animals are being judged on presentation and how the FFA and 4-H members showcase their hard work.

"4-H FFA members as well as many volunteers have worked very hard for a number of months both on their projects as well as getting the fairgrounds ready," said Landrus. "So it's a long busy weekend and it's a great time."

The fair runs through Sunday and just down the street from the fairgrounds, a carnival is taking place for kids and adults of all ages.
