Air quality advisory now in effect for Nez Perce Reservation

LEWISTON, ID - It's no secret that air quality is suffering from fires around the region.

Air quality in the L-C Valley has transitioned from moderate to the "unhealthy for sensitive groups" category. This forecast is projected to hold true for the next few days. According to the Department of Environmental Quality the most significant impacts are coming from the Big Cougar, High Range, Johnson Bar, and Wallowa-Whitman wildfires.

An air quality advisory is now in effect for the Nez Perce Reservation. Anyone with breathing sensitivities and young children should limit their exposure outside.
