Asotin Co. Public Facilities Dist. leaders accept ownership of Aquatic Center

CLARKSTON, WA - The Asotin County Public Facilities District signed an agreement that allows the county to transfer ownership of the Aquatic Center to the district.

Leaders from the district accepted the ownership Tuesday night. Next, county commissioners will look over the contract at their regularly scheduled meeting Monday morning. Leaders from the district will be responsible for collecting a sales tax that will be used to fund the maintenance and operation of the Aquatic Center.

The increased sales tax started in April and leaders should see the beginning of that funding before the end of this month. This transfer goes into effect July first.
