Asotin County Fair preparation underway

ASOTIN, WA - The smell of fair is in the air for Asotin County as livestock, cowboys, cowgirls, and artists prepare for the grand opening of the Asotin County Fair.

The fair provides a multitude of entertainment including horse and livestock shows, barbecuing, games, roping, dancing and more. Students will also exhibit their senior projects.

"Everything's exciting," said Asotin Fair Board President Arlene Mullins. "You know, we have a little bit of everything for everybody."

There will also be various vendors, food stands and flower shows. Individual fair grounds and rodeo gate fees are $5 for children six to 14, for adults the price goes up to $8 bucks and it's just $5 for those fair-goers 60 and older. Family passes are also available. All purchases can be made at the event.

There will also be a carnival in downtown Asotin that will be open from Thursday to Sunday.
