Asotin County Stormwater coordinator resigns from position

CLARKSTON, WA - A new face is representing the Asotin County Stormwater Program come next year, as the coordinator submits her resignation.

Regional Stormwater Coordinator Cheryl Sonnen is stepping down from the position. She got approval from the commission Monday morning to start searching for a replacement.

"I have resigned my position given my notice to Jim Bridges to leave the county at the end of the year for family reasons," said Sonnen.

The federally mandated stormwater program is in place to keep pollutants out of local rivers and streams. Sonnen has been with the program for five years. She was the first manager hired by the county after the inception of the program.
