Asotin Health District's new location is working out well

ASOTIN, WA - The Asotin County Health District has been in it's new location for a month now and health leaders said the transition has been pretty smooth.

The previous office was on Elm Street in Clarkston, but due to a loss of federal funding, it had to move into a smaller space. Health District Nurse Diane Rousseau said they aren't 100% moved in, but things are going well so far.

"It's going great," said Rousseau. "Clients seem to love it and we're really enjoying it. We really like the new building, the space and the proximity to the courthouse. So, it's working out well."

Since they've downsized from a larger building they have a lot of furniture and office supplies they'd like to get rid of. They're having a yard sale at Adele's Storage Units in the Clarkston Heights on Friday. Also starting Thursday, people who are part of the Women Infants and Children Program can swing by the district's office to pick up Farmers Market checks.
