Bassmaster Magazine annual listing ranks Dworshak as one of best places in country for bass fishing

AHSAHKA, ID - For the third year in a row, a local reservoir is considered one of the best places in the country to fish for bass.

Bassmaster Magazine ranks Dworshak Reservoir number 47 in its top-100 list of bass fishing destinations. It takes about three months to put this list together. Bassmaster Magazine Editor James Hall said that this annual list has quickly become a favorite of fishing enthusiasts.

"It definitely creates a lot of chatter in the bass fishing world," said Hall. "It also gets people on the road and gets them fishing more. A cool side effect is the tourism dollars it brings to these areas."

Dworshak's current placement is down from the number 26 ranking it receive last year, but the magazine did say the Idaho State record small-mouth came from the reservoir and its gene pool still swims in the water.
