According to Latah County Sheriff's Office Operations Lieutenant Brannon Jordan, no one was injured in the fire that burned a 38 by 144 foot long building, that contained 194 tons of hay, to the ground.
Both the Kendrick and Juliaetta Volunteer Fire Departments, with mutual aid from the Troy Fire Department, battled the blaze for several hours before the fire was contained.
"The fire is still smoldering, there's quite a bit of hay on the ground there," said Jordan on Friday afternoon. "The fire departments have dumped water on it, but it's going to smolder for a few days."
Jordan said the hay was worth roughly $50,000. He said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
