Fifty-one-year-old Charles Capone is being held on domestic violence charges of 2nd-degree assault. He allegedly tried to strangle 40-year-old Rachael Anderson in December of 2009. Anderson, filed for divorce after the alleged strangulation, then disappeared in April of 2010. Capone currently has no charges against him related to Anderson's disappearance.
According to Prosecutor Ben Nichols, during a bond review hearing in Asotin County Superior Court Wednesday afternoon, Nichols argued that there's significant evidence that Capone has a history of intimidating witnesses and threatening victims. Judge William Acey ruled to keep his bond at $1 million dollars after citing that Capone has a high risk of violence and is a flight risk. Capone will make his next court appearance November 5th.
