Captain Dan Hally said right now there are no working cameras in any of the patrol cars. With a $30,000 grant obtained by the Emergency Management Department, the tentative balance is $60,000 for the county. Hally has been researching different options for a year now and said the cameras would provide necessary legal coverage.
"It has segregated storage," said Hally. The entire shift the deputy is out there it's recording what occurs."
The total cost is based on four price estimates and could come in less depending upon the responses from the vendors.
