Captain Lutes worked at the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office and is entering into retirement after 27 years.
"I would like to thank everybody that showed up," said Captain Lutes. "I guess that means that somewhere along the lines I made some friends. I look at my Nez Perce county as an extended family. I've spent a lot of time with a lot of people and have developed some really close relationships."
Sheriff Joe Rodriguez presented Lutes with a plaque and spoke candidly about how much he's learned during his time serving him. Lutes said he's looking forward to spending more time with family.
