Ceremony Thursday to Dedicate New ADA Accessible Equipment
LEWISTON, ID —
Every child should be able to play in their own way. That's the goal behind the mission of Lewiston's former ADA coordinator, Judy Smith.
Currently the executive assistant to Lewiston's city manager, Smith has always had a heart for making Lewiston more inclusive. Before she resigned as Lewiston's ADA coordinator last February, she used part of the executive budget to purchase new ADA accessible equipment for Sunset Park.
The instrumental equipment allows children with autism or other sensory processing disorders to engage in play.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will dedicate the city's first pieces of ADA sensory equipment; the ceremony will be Thursday, February 8th at 11 A.M. Everyone is invited to celebrate.
