Clarkston man behind bars for allegedly shooting at someone

LEWISTON, ID - A Clarkston man is behind bars Tuesday after he allegedly fired a pistol at another person just ten minutes after midnight.

The Lewiston Police Department reports that witnesses saw 21-year-old Curtis Marsh fire a pistol at another person in the backyard of a residence along the 800 block of 10th Avenue in Lewiston. According to witnesses, Marsh and the other subject had been arguing.

"The investigation reveals that the subject that was taken into custody had become belligerent and was being escorted off the premises at which time it was reported that he pulled a firearm," said Lewiston Police Department Sergeant Ted Piche.

Piche said Marsh attempted to run away from police. They later found him on foot at 4th Street and Prospect Avenue. Marsh was taken into custody and booked into the Nez Perce County Jail on one count of Aggravated Assault. Piche said he did not have a concealed weapons permit.
