Joseph J. Brice faces time for manufacturing an explosive device and attempting to provide material assistance to terrorists.
During May 2010, Brice was under investigation by the federal government. A bomb he manufactured near his Clarkston Heights home exploded prematurely, where he sustained serious injuries.
Following the incident Brice posted videos on YouTube advocating suicide bombing and paid homage to Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. Brice was arrested at his Clarkston apartment in May 2011 by federal investigators, when he agreed to provide bomb-making plans to an undercover agent whom he though was a terrorist.
