For Clarkston City Officials, good health for family and friends is on the forefront of their minds this Thanksgiving.
"Our forefathers had it so rough and we have such modern conveniences and I thank god everyday that he allowed me to live in this section of history know as the 21st century," said Clarkston City Councilor Terry Beadles.
"I'm kind of thankful that my health is continuing to be good," said Clarkston Mayor Kathleen Warren. "No signs of recurrence of my cancer or anything. It's been a very quiet year medically so I'm very happy about that."
"I'm so thankful for the health of my family," said Clarkston Fire Department Chief Steve Cooper. "My mother's recovery from cancer over the past year. It makes me really focus on the importance on the health of the family. So I'm very thankful for that."
"I'm very thankful for the professional and dedicated staff here at the Clarkston police department," said Police Chief Joel Hastings. "They do a fine job of keeping the community safe. I'm also thankful for the citizens who have supported law enforcement and I want to wish them a very wonderful Thanksgiving."
"The citizens of Clarkston are great people and I'm thankful to work here with them," said Clarkston City Council Clerk Vickie Story. "It's been twenty years and I've got four to go."
