Clarkston School Board selects Tim Winter for new superintendent

CLARKSTON, WA - The quest to find a new superintendent for the Clarkston School District is coming to an end.

School board members have decided on a candidate to fill the superintendent position when Darcy Weisner leaves his post in June. They chose Tim Winter, who's currently the principal at Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor.

Greg Castellaw, Board President, said it wasn't easy to make a decision.

"We had a really strong candidate pool," said Castellaw. "All three candidates we had were really outstanding; any one of them would have been a great for the district. Tim is outstanding."

The legal council will draft a contract this week and present it to the board of directors on Monday during their regular board meeting. If approved, Tim Winter will begin July first.
