The Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival is about a month away, so the University of Idaho is selling commemorative buttons that covers admission to festival workshops and also benefits the festival's Young Artist Concerts. Buttons cost $3.00 and can be purchased at nearly a dozen local businesses including the Vandal store and Moscow Chamber of Commerce.
"It's a way for people to be involved with the Jazz Festival, to support the Jazz Festival, without being a jazz fan," said Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival Development Director James Brownson.
Many stores are offering discounts to people who purchase buttons, and they will be honored until March 15th. The Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival will take place from February 20th until the 23rd.
