Communities host events to mark Annual National Night Out against crime

CLARKSTON, WA - Tonight (Tuesday) is National Night Out and towns all over the region are celebrating, including Clarkston.

It's a giant party put on by your local law enforcement. Officer John Morbeck said it gives people a chance to meet our emergency responders, and see all the equipment and transportation they use.

"There's a lot of agencies down here and there will be food and drinks," said Morbeck. "We'll also have life flights coming around 6:45 tonight."

The festivities start at six and run until nine Tuesday night at Beachview Park in Clarkston. There's no cost to get in and the band "Basement" will be performing from seven to nine.

They're also going on in Potlatch and Moscow. The one in Potlatch will be from six to nine at Scenic Park, and in Moscow's Eastside Marketplace from six to eight-thirty. Each celebration will differ slightly but there will be games, food, music, information and safety booths, car seat checks, and tour of fire trucks, ambulances, and patrol cars.
