Competition at annual all-breed dog show unites over 120 breeds

LEWISTON, ID - Friday marked the first day for the "Lewiston Spring Cluster" Dog Show at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds.

Palouse Hills Dog Fanciers and the Lewis-Clark Kennel Club join together for this annual all breed dog show. More than 120 breeds will compete as part of a four-day competition. Old and new competitors from all over the Northwest have traveled to Lewiston to take part in this one of a kind dog show.

"This is Dexter," said Spokane resident Gina Schell. "He's a male and he's four-years-old, and were getting ready to go in the ring. He already has his Canadian Championship and his International Championship, so we're excited for him."

In order to become a champion dog, you must earn 15 show points, winning a show is worth three points or more. The dog show is free to the public and will be all weekend long.
