Contest to name new bus system in Moscow

MOSCOW, ID - The bus system in Moscow is in need of a new name, and the city is asking its citizens to come up with it.

Moscow Valley Transit is part of Regional Public Transportation, which recently moved its office from Lewiston to Moscow. Now that they're out of the Valley, they need a more appropriate name for the transit system.

"So we're running a contest among anybody who wants to send an entry in, to name the bus service, the fixed route transit service, something that is more descriptive of it being in Moscow," said Moscow City Supervisor Gary Riedner.

You can submit ideas on the city's website, at city hall, or even on one of the Moscow Valley Transit buses. You have until October 16 to enter, and the winner will receive a $50 gift card to a local restaurant.
