Fire forces family out of their Lewiston home

Family escaped home without getting hurt, but fire destroyed the structure.

A Lewiston family has been displaced after an early morning fire broke out Saturday.

Around 5:30 a.m., Lewiston Fire crews responded to the area of 4th Street and Warner Avenue.

Chief Travis Myklebust said they believe the fire started in an RV parked next to the house then spread to the main structure.

The family was inside the home at the time, but all of them made it out safely.

Some of their animals were unaccounted for.

The cause is under investigation.
