Fourth of July celebration ends with school grounds trashed once again

CLARKSTON, WA - On the other hand, a local school district is still reeling from Independence Day celebrations.

Days after the holiday, Lincoln Middle School and Heights Elementary were still covered with debris. Each year both schools are filled with people lighting off fireworks. The problem is people leave without cleaning up their messes.

Leaders from the Clarkston School District said the maintenance crew is now busy dealing with the mess left behind by dozens of people. Clarkston School District maintenance workers started cleaning and hauling trash away Monday morning.
