Kaydence Skinner, 7, and her grandmother Cyndi Rode visited the Jackson Baldwin Falls Children's Memorial just before Thanksgiving, when Kaydence noticed something was missing. The young girl told her grandmother that each child deserved a Christmas ornament this season and asked her grandmother if they could help.
"She said it wasn't good because everybody didn't have an ornament and she wanted to make one for everybody," said Kaydence's grandmother Cyndi Rode. "We then went home and made ornaments for all of them."
The duo spent two days making 115 ornaments, enough to place one on each child's plaque. Rode and her granddaughter Kaydence said that they plan to visit the memorial each year with enough ornaments for every child remembered on the memorial.
