However, the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality said that may not be the case.
DEQ Engineer Teresa Hiebert said conditions could begin to improve this weekend but there's a good chance they could get worse.
"We can see intermittent improvements in the next week but it's likely to last for a while," said Hiebert. "The National Weather Service said potentially Sunday, but let's not stick our hopes on that."
DEQ officials advise residents to stay indoors as much as possible, especially in the early morning and evening hours. Hiebert said although conditions won't be as bad as last week, there's a good chance they'll worsen over the next few days.
