Helping Hands “Share the Love” Spaghetti Feed was huge success

Volunteers with Helping Hands are still finalizing their number, but by all accounts their second annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser was a huge success.

They estimate around 450 people showed up to the dinner and auction. This is the group’s largest fundraiser, and allows them to keep helping animals in our area.

But volunteer Andi Gallagher says “Sharing the Love” also means paying it forward, which is why Helping Hands took donations from their last dinner to purchase animal rescue breathing masks for four area fire departments.

"It's really important to make sure that we give everything back that we can,” said Gallagher. “The resuscitation masks are only a little part of what we'd like to do. And each year that we get the support from the community, we're able to give a little back more each year."

Animal rescue breathing masks will be going to Lapwai, Juliaette-Kendrick, Colton-Uniontown, and Genesee Fire Departments. The group also donated these masks last year to Asotin, Clarkston, and Lewiston’s Fire Departments.
