The blaze which doubled in size overnight, is now listed at 2,600 acres. Fire Information Officer Tom Rhode said the terrain is making it difficult for firefighters on the ground.
"What we're seeing as a pattern is it's very active from about two in the afternoon to about two of three in the morning and it continues to move due to the conditions of the fuels, high temperatures and low humidities," said Rhode.
The stage three evacuation for Getta Creek remains in place. A public meeting will be held tonight (Wednesday) at Whitebird High School at 7:00 p.m.
