The fire's burning four miles southwest of Joseph, Oregon. It remains at 20% containment Wednesday night. Despite Tuesday nights rain helping out, it's still too dangerous for crews to work on the south ridge of Dunn Creek so helicopters are attacking the blaze.
"We're just working with the helicopter along the south edge, we're just dropping water on hot spots, or smoke that we see," said Dave Schmitt. "We do have a line on the west side of the fire. That is lined and that is the side closest to private property."
So far the fire has burned 645 acres. Fire officials are monitoring weather conditions, as a red flag warning remains in effect for the area until 11p.m.
