ID. Dept. of Labor will train the unemployed for high demand jobs

LEWISTON, ID - More people are back to work as the economy in Idaho has seen a strong recovery, and job growth is expected to continue thanks to a multi-million dollar grant.

The Idaho Department of Labor has been awarded more than three million dollars to train the jobless for high demand jobs. The grant from the U.S. Department of Labor will also provide career counseling, and help assist those recently laid off.

Idaho was one of 32 states to receive money. Leaders from the Idaho Department of Labor said they will increase outreach efforts to the long-term unemployed.
