Idaho Democratic Party rally against cuts to public education

LEWISTON, ID - The local chapter of the Idaho Democratic Party staged a demonstration Saturday.

It's all part of state-wide rally to bring attention to public education in the state. Democratic party members lined the Blue Bridge that connects Lewiston and Clarkston Saturday evening. They said they're concerned about cuts for funding education. Rally organizer Pete Gertonson said they hope that both Washington and Idaho residents come out to show support.

"It's our kids," said Gertonson. "It's our future, and right now they're one of the biggest exports we have going on. They go somewhere else to find a job and we need to have their future be Idaho."

They'll be rallying on the Interstate Bridge from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
