Idaho State earns B+ on Thumbtack Small Business Friendliness Survey

LEWISTON, ID - The Gem State may be one of the best places to start up a small business, that's according to a new national survey.

It lists Idaho as the second friendliest state for small businesses. Thumbtack and the Kauffman brothers surveyed 12,000 small business owners this month. They found the state's small business owners were also the most optimistic when it comes to the economy.

The survey found start-up companies are twice as common in Boise than nationwide. California, Rhode Island and Illinois were all given "F" ratings, as the least small business friendly states.
