Innovative and growing business, Seekins Precision celebrates grand opening in new location

LEWISTON, ID - A company that started out in a garage has made major progress over the past ten years, and Friday they were recognized for being Idahoan through and through, which even included a visit from the governor.

Seekins Precision initially began making scope rings ten years ago, but has since grown into a successful business with a full line of assault rifle products and more than 25-employees.

Governor 'Butch' Otter participated in the grand opening of the business Friday.

"With their innovation, with their continued efforts to always improve their product and create more products for a business that they know well," said Governor Otter. "And for a business that's very friendly in the state of Idaho. Obviously the support for the second amendment in Idaho is important, but we love to see companies like this grow."

"We make everything from components for bolt action rifles to to complete AR-15 modern sporting rifles," said Owner Glen Seekins. "We just appreciate all the support from the community and the governor for standing behind the second amendment."

The 25,000 square-foot building is a $4 million investment into the community. Before moving behind Bryden Canyon Golf Course, they were located at the port in Lewiston.
