Idaho State Police said 30-year-old Drifter Nibler was drunk behind the wheel when he hit and killed 55-year-old, Stanley Solberg.
It happened Saturday night at about 9:00 PM. Nibler was driving south on Main Street when he didn't see Solberg crossing the street.
Police don't yet know how fast he was going when he struck Solberg with the front of his pickup. Even though there isn't a crosswalk where the accident happened, Idaho State Police Captain Lonnie Richardson said there haven't been any fatalities involving a pedestrian on Highway 3 in that area since he started working here, in 2001.
