July 2013 trial date set for Winchester man accused of murdering his mother

LEWISTON, ID - A jury trial date has been set for a Winchester man accused of murdering his 66-year-old mother.

Kenneth Broncheau, 47, maintained his non-guilty plea on charges of murder, aggravated domestic battery, and aggravated arson charges.

Nez Perce Tribal Police allege that Broncheau shot Carol Haskell and set her body on fire in late June.

Broncheau's trial is scheduled to start July 23, 2013. Public defender Hyrum Hibbert of Idaho Legal Aid Services said the date is so far off because that's the next available opening for a jury trial.

Broncheau will be held without bond in the Nez Perce County Jail until his status conference on August 21st of this year.
