The budget allocates about $16.2-million dollars. It increases property taxes by one-percent, which is the lowest increase in 20 years, and gives a four-percent raise to county employees.
The budget passed two to one with Commissioner Richard Walser in opposition.
"I just felt that times being what they are and players being what they are that the people footing the bill for the county deserve a break," said Latah County Commissioner Richard Walser. "And maybe the county employees go for I wasn't suggesting no increase but I think a three-percent increase would be more appropriate."
County employees received a four-percent increase last year as well.
The budget will go into effect October first.
