Law enforcement motorcade travels to Guy Arnzen memorial service

LEWISTON, ID - Several law enforcement agencies paid tribute to one of their own Sunday morning.

Friends and family gathered behind the courthouse to celebrate the life of Guy Arnzen. Arnzen, who passed away on the 13th of this month, worked for the Nez Perce County Sheriffs Office for more than 27-years before retiring in 2007. As a way to show respect for the decades of service he provided, a motorcade of police vehicles drove to Greencreek Cemetery, there Arnzen was laid to rest.

"With the assistance of Officer Eric Olson who has contacted multiple agencies," said Nez Perce County Sheriff Joe Rodriguez. "We're here to show our respect to Guy Arnzen years of service."

"He was a mentor, he was someone I looked up to at 20 something years old when I started law enforcement," said LPD Patrol Officer, Eric Olson. "Not only that but we had a person relationship, him and his family. And I think it's important that we do this for him today."

In addition to all local law enforcement... Idaho, Lewis, and Clearwater counties, as well as WSP, ISP and the Forest Service took part in the motorcade.
