LC Valley remains behind average yearly rainfall

LEWISTON, ID - Torrential rains swept through the Valley Wednesday and the question on everybody's mind is how much of the rain deficit did we decrease?

According to the National Weather Service, the L-C Valley soaked up a-quarter inch of rain. Unfortunately that still puts us behind our ten inch average that we'd like to be at this time of year, by approximately an inch-and-a-quarter.

The approximately seven inches the Valley has collected is a culmination from January first. In March, there was a record low amount of precipitation for Lewiston at only a-quarter of an inch of rain.
