Lewiston couple fail to file three years worth of tax returns

LEWISTON, ID - The Idaho State Tax Commission caught up to a local Lewiston couple, accused of failing to file three years worth of taxes.

According to court documents, Brad and Terri Johnson didn't file tax returns for 2009, 2010 or 2011. Their reported income from all three years came to more than $400,000.

Second District Judge Jeff Brudie has ordered the Johnson's to file the return to the tax commission by October 11th, or show cause as to why they're not obligated to file income tax returns. Unfortunately it's taxpayers money that's being spent on taking the local couple to court.
