Lewiston Fire Dept. dispatched to blaze at vacant house on Third Ave.

LEWISTON, ID - Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a house fire in Lewiston early Tuesday morning.

Fire crews responded to the house in the 2600 block of Third Avenue around 6:30 Tuesday morning. No one was living in the house. It's been vacant since the home burned back in March of 2009. The fire was under control within minutes.

Division Chief Travis Myklebust said because of damage from the previous fire, it'll be difficult to determine the cause, but tey have some ideas.

"But, no consideration of foul play or anything like that," said Myklebust. "It looks like there could have been a vagrant living in the residence, but that's unknown at this time."

Myklebust said their investigation should be wrapped up by Tuesday night or today (Wednesday.)
