The Lewiston Fire Department responded to Pine Street in Lewiston a little after 6 o-clock Thursday evening. According to Lewiston Fire Department Battalion Chief, Gaylon Waits, the fire was knocked out within five minutes of arrival, however the damage was already done.
"Manufactured homes use a little lighter material or at least of the era," said Waits. "A lot of glue, things like that...so the fire propagates quite quickly."
The fire has been determined to have started in the back of the home, however a cause for the blaze is unknown at this time. No injuries were sustained, as the people who live in the residence were not home at the time.
