Lewiston-Nez Perce Regional Airport line painting work finished; Delta flights have resumed

LEWISTON, ID - Scheduled maintenance at the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport is ahead of schedule.

Friday lines were being painted as contractors are now paving the airport's main runway. The airport has been limited to just one runway during the routine maintenance. Airport Manager Bruce MacLachlan said he's excited to get the main runway back open this Monday.

"We only gave our self two weeks to do that and it looks like we're going to be coming inside that," said MacLachlan. "And that was certainly the goal of the aggressive time schedule. So everybody's really stepped up and done what had to be done in order to get the project done on time."

Delta has been unable to operate out of Lewiston since its plans need a longer runway, however flights will resume this Monday.
