Lewiston soldier killed in Afghanistan

LEWISTON, ID - A soldier with ties to the area was killed in Afghanistan while serving his country.

Though the U.S. Military has not yet released the information publicly, KLEW News has learned through family and friends that 22-year-old Ethan Martin was killed in a vehicle collision.

Martin was a 2009 Lewiston High School graduate, serving in the Army and based out of Fort Richardson in Alaska. Martin was serving in Afghanistan with the 40th cavalry. The Department of Defense has not confirmed Martin's death. More details about his unconfirmed death are expected to be released by the U.S. Army.
