Lewiston Transit System & PTBA unveils new website to help plan trips

LEWISTON, ID - The local transit system in the LC Valley is in the process of creating a website that will make it easier for residents to commute all over the valley.

The Public Transportation Benefit Area and the Lewiston Transit System have been working hand-in-hand to create an online service center that routes bus plans for customers, posts delays and even street closures. Lewiston Transit System Transit Manager Shannon Grow said the two entities want to make it easier for residents to commute within the valley through website features like "plan your trip."

"The website should spit out, go here to this bus stop, transfer at this place and (tell you) here's the closest place you're going to get to at a fixed route stop," said Grow.

Grow said the website was fully funded by the Lewis-Clark Metropolitan Planning Organization. They hope to have the site fully functioning in the coming weeks.
